Idk what the flip happened here, or how this didn't show through the oxidation before, but it looked tweaky a/f to me...

This is before & after 3 straight hours of 180 w/d hand sanding.

Almost smooth enough to graduate onto 800, then 1000.

I have a feeling I'll end up doing the other side, to get whatever remaining factory clear coat off, so that when finished, both sides match.

Got any more of that elbow grease??

Yeah & she's getting a new battery, too!

One too many times on the old trickle & the the old one took a s**t, after my Rip on Sunday.

(Otherwise, you KNOW I'd have been out riding yesterday!)

Spa day 2 for ...

Time to attack the aluminum!

Things were going swell, until I got to the left side lower & found that someone had hulk scratched swirls over there, against the grain.

¿Like, wtf dude?

I actually liked the lowers sorta oxidized grey, but am committed to the shine, now.

Looks like I'll have to do a bit of w/d sanding,
to smooth & match the other side...
