Last weekend, one of the chefs at the wedding I was photographing insisted on taking a picture of me. I don’t think I’m the only wedding photographer out there who squirms at the thought of posing for a picture and firmly plants themselves behind the lens in all situations, but secretly wishes they had more good photos of themselves. Well, I don’t know how she did it, but she managed a double exposure on my old Pentax K1000, and took one of my most favorite portraits I’ve ever had. Here I am, hair a wild windswept nest as per usual by this point in a wedding day, loaded down with 3 cameras (she is using the 4th), feeling truly and lovingly seen.
