We’re not going to tell you it isn’t hard. Sitting in the missing is part of loving them, and you don’t have to rush yourself out of it.

We also believe this: the after isn’t the end of the two of you. There’s a day coming when you’ll be together again.

Until then, take it one morning at a time. Say their name out loud. Keep telling the stories. Look at the photos, even the ones that ache. And live a life they’d have been proud to be part of.
