Barry Marshall infected himself with stomach Ulcers and won the Nobel Prize in medicine for it! When he proposed that Helicobacter pylori was the cause of stomach ulcers, gastroenterologists dismissed him, holding on to belief that they were caused by stress.
Knowing that the simple cure would be antibiotics, Marshall decided that the only way to prove his theory was to run an experiment on the only human patient he could enlist – himself.

Antibiotics are used to treat or prevent some types of bacterial infection. They work by killing bacteria or preventing them from spreading. But they do not work for everything.
Many mild bacterial infections get better on their own without using antibiotics.
Antibiotics do not work for viral infections such as colds and flu, and most coughs and sore throats.
When it comes to antibiotics, take your doctor's advice on whether you need them or not. Antibiotic resistance is a big problem – taking antibiotics when you do not need them can mean they will not work for you in the future.
When antibiotics are needed
Antibiotics may be used to treat bacterial infections that:
are unlikely to clear up without antibiotics
could infect others
could take too long to clear without treatment
carry a risk of more serious complications

Take care of your Choppers!
Tooth decay is the destruction of your tooth enamel, the hard, outer layer of your teeth. It can be a problem for children, teens and adults. Plaque, a sticky film of bacteria, constantly forms on your teeth. When you eat or drink foods containing sugars, the bacteria in plaque produce acids that attack tooth enamel. The stickiness of the plaque keeps these acids in contact with your teeth and over time the enamel can break down. This is when cavities can form.
You can help prevent tooth decay by following these tips:
⚫️Brush twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste.
⚫️Clean between your teeth daily with floss or interdental cleaner.
⚫️Eat nutritious and balanced meals and limit snacking.
⚫️Check with your dentist about the use of supplemental fluoride, which strengthens your teeth, and about use of dental sealants (a plastic protective coating) applied to the chewing surfaces of the back teeth (where decay often starts) to protect them from decay.
⚫️Visit your dentist regularly for professional cleanings and oral examination.
