On average, a pedestrian is killed in a traffic accident every 80 minutes, and another is injured every 8 minutes. Motivated by his own experience, Cavon H. ’27 invented Hindsight, an affordable wearable radar system that alerts pedestrians to oncoming traffic. Embodying the Portrait of a Graduate trait of Think Critically, Cavon transformed an idea into an innovation recognized on the global stage. Watch his story.

Poly is thrilled to host another summer of Partnership for Success (PFS) on our campus! Since 1990, PFS has partnered with independent schools to empower Pasadena Unified School District students through a transformative, fully funded summer enrichment experience.
During the first week, students heard from Dr. John Rodarte, physician for the Los Angeles Dodgers, visited Snapchat for a behind-the-scenes look at the company, and explored careers in medicine at Western University.
We can't wait to see all that PFS students accomplish this summer!
