Here’s one of the featured projects from our Windows Through Wires event. The Nixie Tube Clock Kit by Andrew Geppert.

This kit was purchased fully assembled via eBay as an “Arduino Shield.” It was designed by gra-afch.com

As it stands now, it is a stock design, with a small firmware modification to provide the “slot machine effect” to ensure all the filaments are used frequently. Future expansion will connect a GPS module for automatic time setting. The team at GRA & AFCH has created a masterpiece, and Andrew was excited to expand the functionality and art of the base design. An Arduino Mega 2560 drives the clock.
