Many people who come into Cookie’s Kitchen aren’t lucky enough to know the special story behind Pasadena’s longtime staple… so we thought we’d share Cookie’s story✨👩🏼‍🍳

“As a single mother with two young daughters, I made the decision to open this restaurant. Little did I know that 40 years later, we’d still be here.

Over the years, a lot has changed, but one thing has always stayed the same — the people. We’ve been blessed with loyal customers, dedicated employees, and a community that has supported us through every season of life. Many customers have been with us since the beginning, and so many have become like family. We wouldn’t be here without them.

One of the things I’m most proud of is being able to give back to the community that has given so much to us. From local fundraisers and spaghetti dinners to helping with flood relief in North Carolina and rebuilding the Cisco Center after a fire, those memories mean the most to me.

I’m also incredibly grateful for our employees, some of whom have been with me for nearly all 40 years. That kind of loyalty means more than words can say.

And of course, I have to mention Lee, who has been part of this journey for the last 35 years and deserves just as much credit — especially since he usually gets stuck with the tough jobs.

Looking back, I’m overly grateful for the friendships, memories, and generations of families who have gathered around our tables over the years.

It’s been an honor to be part of so many meals and moments with our Pasadena family, and I am eager to welcome many more generations through our door for years to come. See you there!”
