Our Poly 10th grade scholars had the opportunity to spend the day at the Pasadena Courthouse, where they gained a firsthand look at the judicial system and the important role it plays in our community. ⚖️

Scholars had the honor of meeting Judge Roberto Longoria, who welcomed them into his chambers and was joined by two fellow judges and three externs. Together, they shared their unique career journeys, offered valuable insight into the legal profession, and emphasized the importance of building strong communities through service, leadership, and collaboration.

We are so grateful to EY and presenters Blanca Sequeira and Brian Huang for leading a resume and LinkedIn workshop for our rising 12th grade and undergraduate scholars.

Scholars learned how to build a strong professional presence through effective resumes and LinkedIn profiles while gaining valuable tips on personal branding, authenticity, and building meaningful connections.

Last Friday, our Mayfield scholars spent the day learning beyond the classroom through two exciting field trips! ⚙️

Our 7th graders explored the Arroyo Seco/Gabrielino Trail with the Arroyos and Foothills Conservancy where they observed the natural environment and learned more about the science all around them.

Meanwhile, our 8th graders visited Glenair, Inc. for an inside look at the world of engineering. Scholars toured the facility, participated in hands-on activities, and had the opportunity to meet Glenair Chairman and CEO Peter D. Kaufman.
