It was a great weekend of beep baseball and a strong showing for the West Coast in our sport. The SoCal Beep Baseball Association would like to extend a sincere thank you to MindsEye Radio, Jason Frazier and his family, and Mike Curtis. Their partnership over the past three years has meant a great deal to our organization and to the continued success of this tournament.
Final Standings
Champions: Bayou City Heat
Second Place: New York Bombers
Third Place: SGV Panthers
Fourth Place: Atlanta Chaos
The stats are in, and we are proud to recognize our official all-tournament award winners.
Offensive All-Tournament Team
Leading the way with a batting average of .857 and 12 runs scored, Tim Chappell representing the Bayou City Heat earns the top spot.
Mike Tanguma of the Bayou City Heat follows with a .722 average and 13 runs scored.
Dylan Pleasants, also of the Bayou City Heat, checks in with a .667 average and 16 runs scored.
Richie Flores of the Bayou City Heat adds a .667 average with 10 runs scored.
Representing the New York Bombers, Alvin Suarez posts a .667 average with 8 runs scored.
Rounding out the team, Jacob Kamaunu of the Bayou City Heat records a .652 average with 15 runs scored.
Defensive All-Tournament Team
At the short position, Richie Flores of the Bayou City Heat records 16 putouts.
Matthew Debrigard of the New York Bombers follows with 15 putouts at short.
In the middle position, Jacob Kamaunu of the Bayou City Heat records 4 putouts.
Kaleb Wright of the New York Bombers finishes second in the middle with 3 putouts.
In the deep position, four players share top honors with their defensive performances: Bee Yang of the SGV Panthers, Gabriel Weathers of the New York Bombers, and Raysa Coraliz Yamaris Rondon Aviles and Mike Tanguma of the Bayou City Heat.
Tournament MVP
NBBA President Richie Flores of the Bayou City Heat earns the overall Tournament MVP honors with a complete performance on both sides of the ball. He led the field with 16 putouts at short while also delivering at the plate with a .667 batting average and 10 runs scored, making a consistent impact in every game.
