đź“– JOURNAL with me| Grieved at Their Hardness of Heart
Gospel Focus:
“Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath rather than to do evil, to save life rather than to destroy it?” (Mk 3:4)
✨ Word that Stays
Jesus looks around with anger and grief—not because of open hostility, but because of hardened hearts. Silence in the face of suffering becomes a form of injustice.
đź’ Reflection
The man’s withered hand is not the real issue.
The real wound lies in hearts that prefer rules over mercy, observance over compassion, silence over truth.
Jesus teaches that the law exists to give life, not to delay it. Doing good is never untimely. Mercy does not wait for permission.
Like David before Goliath, Jesus confronts a giant—but this time, the giant is rigid religiosity. David trusted the Lord with a sling; Jesus trusts love itself, even when it provokes opposition.
🙏 Prayer
Lord,
soften my heart when it becomes rigid,
wake my conscience when it grows comfortable,
and give me the courage to choose mercy
even when it is misunderstood or opposed.
Teach me to do good now,
for love delayed is love denied.
Amen.
✍️ Today’s Resolution
I will choose mercy over convenience and action over silence, even when it costs me comfort or approval.

“Truly I tell you,” He said, “unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. “
