When many people hear the term PTSD, they often think of military combat. In reality, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder can affect anyone who has experienced a traumatic event, including abuse, accidents, medical emergencies, violence, grief, or other life-altering experiences. It's normal to experience fear, anxiety, or distress following a traumatic event. For some individuals, these reactions gradually lessen over time. For others, the effects of trauma can persist, making it difficult to feel safe, connected, or fully engaged in daily life. The good news is that healing is possible. At The Juniper Center, our therapists provide compassionate, trauma-informed care to help individuals process difficult experiences, develop coping skills, and move toward recovery. You don't have to navigate the effects of trauma alone. http://thejunipercenter.com/services/counseling-for-ptsd-and-trauma/
