Friends and Supporters,

I want to provide an update on the election in the 12th Subcircuit.

On Election Day and for two weeks following, I held a lead over my opponent.

On November 4, the Cook County Clerk reported 27,181 mail-in ballots were left to be counted and another 15,958 mail-in ballots had not yet been returned. In total, it was possible that an additional 43,129 mail-in ballots could be added.

From November 4 to November 23, a total 61,562 additional mail-in ballots were counted. This is 18,423 MORE THAN the Cook County Clerk's own records indicated were possible.

Furthermore, on November 14, the Cook County Clerk reported that there were no additional ballots of any kind left to be counted. They clerk's office is legally required to update ballot counts daily.

On November 17, the last day to legally count ballots, I was leading by 485 votes.

On November 18, the day AFTER the last day to legally count ballots, thousands more ballots were added. Additional ballots continued to be added until November 22. On November 23, dozens of votes were subtracted.

The ballots counted AFTER the November 17 deadline flipped the outcome of the election giving my opponent a lead of 502 votes.

Before Christmas, we conducted a discovery recount in which we reviewed the results in 25% of precincts in the 12th Subcircuit.

During the discovery recount, we found several additional irregularities further indicating that a correct and lawful vote count would have resulted in me winning the election.

Last week, we filed lawsuits in both State and Federal Court seeking to certify me as the rightful winner of the election.

I will continue to keep you updated as this process plays out.

Thank you for your continued support. Happy New Year!
