Earlier today, a construction crew accidentally damaged a main trunk fiber transport line in Lavon, Texas. This line is one of three primary trunks supplying our network in Lamar County. Repair crews are already on site working to resolve the issue. As a result of the fiber break, some of our locations are currently operating on backup wireless connections. We anticipate that repairs will be completed within the next 4 to 6 hours.

The Lamar County Sheriff’s Office is aware of a phone scam that is going around the county where the caller pretends to be a lieutenant, sergeant or deputy. The caller is telling citizens that there is a warrant for their arrest. The caller then tells the citizen that if they pay a certain sum of money within the next fifteen minutes, they will not be arrested. If you or anyone you know gets any type of message like this, please know that our agency doesn't make these types of phone calls and this is fraudulent.

Please share this message and get the word out. See the attached picture of a scam federal warrant.

Alright, listen up, WiFires fam. We've got a situation on our hands, and we need to set the record straight. Rumors are swirling about a cyber attack hitting us hard. But guess what? Ain't nothing like that going down here.

We're all about transparency, folks. So here it is, straight up: no cyb3r , just a little h1ccup in the syst3m. But hey, we're using this as fuel to up our game even more.

We experienced a glitch due to an IP issue from a company we rely on for our public IPs. Yeah, it was a bumpy ride, but nothing we couldn't h4ndl3.

IMPORTANT INFO:
This video was made to be satirical. The gun shown is not a real fire arm. WiFires was never hit by a cyb3r 4tt4ck. This video is to educate our clients and future clients.

Dear Valued Customers,

I am writing to extend my sincere apologies for the internet outage that occurred today, specifically from 8:05 am to 9:50 am. I understand the inconvenience this may have caused, and I want to provide you with full transparency regarding the issue.

The outage was due to an IP issue from the company we rely on for our public IPs, which experienced a significant outage during that period. As part of our commitment to providing reliable services, we have been in the process of transitioning to our own Public IP pool to mitigate such outages that are beyond our control.

However, today's major partial outage has highlighted the urgency of completing this transition. I, Mossie Kines, CEO of WiFires, am personally overseeing this process and will be allocating additional resources to ensure a swift and seamless transfer to our ARIN owned IPs. My deadline for completing this move is 5/1/2024.

As part of this transition, all customers with public IPs will be contacted to schedule an IP change. We are committed to minimizing disruptions and ensuring a smooth transition for all our valued customers.

Once again, I apologize for the inconvenience caused by today's outage. Your satisfaction and trust are of utmost importance to us, and we are taking proactive steps to prevent such issues in the future.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Warm regards,

Mossie Kines
CEO, WiFires
