PSA- Tip of the week: PRE-RUN THEM IF YOU’VE GOT EM’!! Severe winter weather is in the forecast. Why risk it? Fill your gas cans and pre-run your generators. Don’t wait till it is 8 degrees and you need it!! An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!!

It's fall, ya'll! It's time to clean that fireplace, check those gas logs, check the flue, check the chimney cap, and test them all out before you need them. It's also time to change those batteries in those smoke detectors and CO2 detectors, and don't forget those thermostat batteries too...and then TEST all of the above! Are your fire extinguishers charged and functionable? If you are one of my customers on a subscription, these have already been done and you can rest peacefully that they are functioning and working! If you do your own home maintenance, it's time to get busy! Blessings to all!

Late summer tip:
When's the last time you checked the air flow on your outside A/C unit? Grass from mowing the yard, dust, general dirt and debris gets sucked in through the summer as the outside units run trying to keep up with the cooling needs of the house. After checking several of my customers units, they needed cleaning again this month, just after a couple of months of heavy use since they were cleaned last. Keep the screens and coils clean so that they can work to their upmost efficiency. This saves you $$$, saves energy, prolongs the life of your unit, and helps keep you cooler! This is one of the "keys to upkeep" for your house and property if you do your own maintenance. Blessings!
