We are deeply saddened to inform you of the passing of former Bergenfield Mayor Bob Rivas. Bob served the people of Bergenfield as Councilman from 1996 to 1998 and as Mayor from 1999 to 2003. Bob spent his career as a public interest attorney upholding his belief that the law should serve and protect the most vulnerable.

Bob’s lifelong dedication to public service has left a lasting impact. We thank him for his commitment to the people of Bergenfield and Bergen County.

Congressman Bill Pascrell is a nominee for Public Service in the New Jersey Hall of Fame this year. Congressman Pascrell was an inspiration to many and spent his career accruing an exemplary record of public service.
