I keep forgetting to post over here. We were in this big transition with moving, rebuilding, not rebuilding fast enough so RV life, and now corona chaos. I know a lot of people freak out about colourwork, and yes, some of those mittens look rather intricate.
That is why with the sock weight, charted mittens there are also worsted weight mittens that have just a little bit of colourwork.

This is the start of the 2008 pattern I wrote called Noro Mittens. Not very imaginatively named, I know, but I was pretty much knitting everything with noro kureyon yarn back then.

The pattern has been reformatted and is included in 'A Mitten Almanac'.

As we go thru the year of mittens there will be new techniques and varying weights of yarn. There will be afterthought thumbs, thumb gussets and beautiful gussets across the palms!

So dont be afraid to join in. We won't just be warming hands, we will be learning some new techniques and cast ons.
