The Montebello Angels cool off the competition by capturing the 45+ Championship in the MSBL National “Beat The Heat” Labor day tournament!!!! 🏆

Montebello Angels defeated by Mother Nature in the 2023 MSBL Desert Classic

The Montebello Angles started the new year with a bang at the 2023 MSBL Desert Classic by Going 3-0 in pool play before being defeated by mother nature and her torrential rains cancelling our Championship game on Monday and with that the Montebello Angels were declared Co-Champions.

The Angels were led by a complete team effort!! Our outstanding pitching Staff was at the forefront of our charge! Veterano Lefty Bobby Yanez allowed just one unearned run with his complete game win in game one, Yosjan Brizuelas & Tony Cabrera combined to throw 10 innings in our extra innings 6-2 win in game 2 and Eddie Nava topped of the Round Robin with a complete game 1-hitter in our game 3 win to send the Angels to the Championship game and catching every inning was ironman Daniel Arruda. Offensively the Angels were Lead by the torrid hitting of Ivan Valencia, Andy Torres, Louie González and Manny Miranda.


Manager Rob Oskin as always had high praise for his teams efforts and was very confident with the pitching staff that he still had available for the championship game, but we will need to wait until the MSBL Kickoff Classic in March for an opportunity to capture our first Championship game win of the 2023 Tournament season.

The Angels go 3-0 in pool play to advance to the Championship game!! Fantastic pitching all tourney including a mouth watering no-hitter from Eddie Nava!
