The umbrellas were yellow. The mountains were unchanged.
A photograph from the property’s earlier chapter in the 1980s, when desert afternoons unfolded poolside beneath the San Jacintos and Palm Springs moved at a slower pace.
Every old hotel is a collection of lives briefly intersecting in the same place. This image captured a few of them.
