I want to post a real-life story on why you should have some security cameras with Analytics. 2 weeks ago Monday June 10th one of our staff had accidentally left an expensive piece of equipment on the hood of our work van around 5pm. We found it missing around 12:30pm on Tuesday during a site survey in where we needed it. At 1:20pm we arrived back to the office and began looking at the camera footage. by 1:22pm using motion search we found and confirmed where the equipment was left. by 1:24pm we located who had taken it. To our luck it was taken by an employee of street sweeper company riding in a marked van. by 2pm the deputy arrived to create a case. by 2:45pm I had gotten in touch with the adjacent property management company and confirmed the company was hired by them. by 6pm I had been in communication with the owner of the street sweeper company. by 8:30pm the owner had retrieved our equipment from the employee and terminated them on the spot. by 10am Wednesday we had been returned our equipment valued at about $3,000.

As a business owner you never want this type of incident to happen. But hoping it doesn't and reality are 2 very different things. The best-case outcome happened in this scenario because of the speed, agility and capabilities of having smart cameras with analytics and motion search.
