I’ve been contemplating putting the new series in KU and keeping the Second Chances in Serenity Palms series published wide. Ultimately, I decided to keep life simple and just go KU all around.

The 15k words I wrote last week in Meet Me at Café St. Germain were emotionally heavy--the husband's death and Caroline figuring out how to rebuild her life. My 15k words for this week get to be about pretty things!

Caroline was an art history and French major in college who dreamed of going to Paris and having a career in the elite museum world. Her French college boyfriend went on to pursue that dream and became the Director of the Cluny Museum in Paris, pictured in this post.

The Cluny houses the six tapestries known as The Lady and the Unicorn and other items from the Middle Ages. Very little factual information is known about the origins of the 15th century tapestries, but each panel is assumed to have its own meaning related to taste, sight, smell, touch, hearing, and à mon seul désir (my sole desire or your one big dream in life).

Caroline is studying the tapestries at the Sorbonne and I'm relating her understanding of each panel's meaning back to her own self-discovery process.

I was an English and French major but I took art history classes for nearly every elective and studied The Lady and the Unicorn tapestries myself. I cannot wait to dig in to the research even further!!
