Hi All! We just wanted to give you a quick update about today:

We WILL be at Frontier Days in Arlington Heights today from 12pm-8pm or sell-out regardless of the weather. It's the final day of the festival & even though Mother Nature hasn't exactly been kind to the event this week, we'll be there to ride it out with plenty of Brisket, Pork, Pastrami, Pork Tamales, Banana Puddin' & more!

At CCK we're rockin' our legendary StiCCKy Chicken! It's a smoked & tempura-fried Miller Farms Amish Half Chicken covered in Mae Ploy Sweet Chili Sauce & our patent-pending Magic Dust! We'll also have Chicken Tamales, The Super Katz, Smoked Turkey, & more!

Also, today's the last day to vote for us in the 2026 Daily Herald Readers' Choice Best of the Best! We've been nominated in 17 categories and we need your help to take home Best BBQ & Best Caterer for the FIFTH year in a row! There aren’t a whole lot of words to describe the things that went down today. Between the restaurant being crazy busy, losing power twice, and the storm chasing people away from Arlington Heights Frontier Days only to make them return in force to give us what amounts to a RECORD-SETTING FRIDAY…we could use all sorts of words to express ourselves.

Despite all the madness, we came through in shining style & really made some waves out there!

But we also forgot something. Today is a very special day. It’s currently still July 3rd & that marks not only five years at 2391 N Hicks, but TEN YEARS of Chicago Culinary Kitchen. TEN. YEARS.

We’ve come a long way from the humble beginnings & maybe we don’t exactly look the same, but CCK is so much more than the sum of its parts. It is a constantly evolving ethereal being of sorts that causes all sorts of emotions from love to obsession to fear & loathing.

Yes, loathing. It may be hard to believe but there are literally some people out there that really don’t like us. Which is weird, cuz we’re super fun & an extremely hardworking team of characters 🤷‍♂️

Either way, we press on. And tomorrow is a new day.

In fact, we’re probably gonna be on WGN TV on Saturday between 8am-9am @ frontierdays_ah…so we’ve got some things to do.
