Auto Collision Rebuilders in Palatine, IL is seeking a full time Auto Detailer. Previous experience in automotive detailing is preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Must be able to cut/wet sand, buff and polish an exterior of a vehicle.
- Pre-wash vehicles prior to inspection/repair.
- Performs complete detail after vehicle repairs have been completed.
- Inspect all vehicles for delivery quality standards.
- Visually inspect every vehicle for flaws in the repaired area.
- Efficiently work and maintain company minimum standards.
- Maintain detailing equipment to ensure proper performance.
- Organize and maintain the inventory of detail department supplies.
- May involve cleaning and removing dirt in the engine compartments.
- Vacuum the entire vehicle to remove dirt and debris.
- Work with other departments to ensure quality services and on-time delivery.
- Must review the repair order for each vehicle prior to beginning any work on the vehicle
- Follow COVID-19 mitigation procedures and other safety protocols.
- Assisting other team members in other departments.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment including contributing to other departments during downtime.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- Driver’s license required
- Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, kneel or crouch in providing a properly prepared vehicle for painting.
- Team-oriented
- Detailers must follow high quality standards to minimize defects and exceed company standards.
- Keeps track of allotted vehicles while helping to keep all vehicles on schedule for stated delivery date.
- Must communicate with team members to plan and execute a quality repair on a variety of vehicles.
- Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions.
- Able to multitask and be detail-oriented
- Poses good decision making ability and sound judgement.
- Willingness to work overtime hours if needed.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area, blowing out daily, and returning any unused inventory to storage.
