We are so proud of our very own Morgan Sporea for completing her FIRST ULTRA MARATHON! We tell our clients everyday that they don’t just do hard things. They triumph over hard things when they trust fully in the Lord.

“31 grueling miles, and 62 laps around is DONE!✅ Ran through the night in 70% humidity and finished around 4 am.

I will be riding this excitement for a while!!! When I hit the halfway mark, I had no IDEA how I would continue. Everything hurt…

There’s just something about pushing your body and mind further than you think you can go. When you’re breaking down and you don’t think you can keep going, go one more mile. And another. And one more. Then another.

This race was really on a whim, and zero training to get here. 🙈😳 One thing about me, is I run with my heart. I am not fast, but man am I determined!

Thank you Lord for the ability to cross the finish line!!!”

Did you know that we often implement art into therapy sessions at First Step Counseling?

Art therapy is more than creativity—it can play a big part in your healing journey. ❤️‍🩹

Sometimes words fall short. Trauma, anxiety, and deep pain don’t always come out in sentences… but they can be expressed through what we create.

Through art, what feels hidden begins to surface, and what feels broken can begin to be restored.🤍

God doesn’t waste pain—He transforms it.

And sometimes, that transformation starts with something as simple as putting pen to paper.

If you’re ready to take the First Step, give us a call at (270)-260-0096 or go to our website at www.firststepcounselingky.com and book an appointment with one of our therapists. 😀
