Mark your calendars! The Annual City-County Spring Clean Up Day is back on Saturday, May 3, from 7 AM–2 PM, rain or shine! This is your FREE opportunity to safely get rid of unwanted items—including household hazardous waste, e-scrap, tires, appliances, and more.
📍 Location:
Republic Services Transfer Station & Paducah Public Works parking lot
Enter ONLY from North 10th Street off Park Avenue. (No entry from 8th or 9th Streets.)
đź•‘ Important:
Be in line by 2 PM to participate. Bring a valid photo ID (like your driver’s license) to show proof of residency in Paducah or McCracken County.
âś… Items Accepted:
- Household garbage
- Major appliances (must be Freon-free)
- Tires (limit 8; rims okay)
- E-scrap & batteries
- Ammunition & prescription meds
- Labeled household hazardous waste
❌ Not Accepted:
- Medical or commercial waste
- Radioactive items
- Solid rubber, track, or foam-filled tires
đź’ˇ Bonus:
Paducah Power System + Clean Earth, Inc. will accept unbroken mercury-filled bulbs and give you a free LED bulb in return!
♻️ Recycling Reminder:
Take your paper, plastic, and cans to the Green for Life recycling drop-off at 400 State Street.
