Congratulations to Mark Mulligan, Social Studies Teacher at Riverbend Middle School, for receiving the MVR-III Above and Beyond Award. 🎉

Mark brings history and community service to life by creating meaningful learning experiences that engage students and help them see the impact they can make in their communities. His classroom is a place where students feel valued, challenged, and inspired to learn.

Beyond the classroom, Mark dedicates countless hours to organizing experiences that promote empathy, leadership, and civic pride. From coordinating the Tribe Olympics to arranging community visits with local organizations, he helps students build connections that extend far beyond the school day.

Mark also plays an important role in advancing learning across the district through his involvement in the Personalized Competency-Based Learning Master Teacher Cadre. His contributions are helping shape future-ready learning experiences and support the development of MVR-III's Portrait of a Graduate.

Known for his willingness to help and his commitment to students and colleagues alike, Mark consistently puts others first and makes a positive impact throughout .

Riverbend Middle School Summer Discovery students visited Robertsville State Park for an engaging outdoor learning experience! 💚

Students explored the park and learned about recreational opportunities such as fishing and hiking while discovering more about the natural environment around them.

They also attended a presentation highlighting our local bat population!

Today we’re proud to recognize one of our amazing band teachers, Mr. Musterman!

Through rehearsals, concert preparations, and daily practice, our band program is filled with energy, dedication, and heart — and that starts with outstanding leadership. Mr. Musterman not only builds strong musicians, but also teaches perseverance, teamwork, discipline, and confidence.

From first notes to full performances, students are encouraged to grow, take risks, and support one another. Watching their progress from the beginning of the year to concert night is always something special! 🎵✨
