Bring: serger, foot peddle, and associated cords, owner’s manual, extension cord, snips, seam ripper, spools of 50 wt. thread. Debbie will provide all of the scraps of fabric that you will need.

Kids Beginner Sewing Workshop

Does the young person in your life want to learn to sew? They should attend this 2-hour workshop to explore the possibilities.

This important class is a prerequisite for all of our kids classes. Once your child completes this beginner workshop, they’re eligible to enroll in the kids six-week after school program (dates are TBD), but planned for February through March.

In this beginner workshop, kids and teens from 4th to 12th grade will learn how to use a sewing machine. They’ll learn sewing machine basics including how to: wind a bobbin, thread the machine, and sew straight, even seams. Students will also complete a project to take home in this workshop. All equipment and materials included for $55.00! We will provide the sewing machine, sewing supplies and tools, and fabric!

Note: Please arrive to class on time, as essential information is given in the first few minutes of class. Students arriving late to class will not be permitted in the classroom.
