***NBVC ANNOUNCEMENT***
Naval Base Ventura County will be involved in our annual USFF directed Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) exercise, Solid Curtain 2026 scheduled for 02-06 FEB. This exercise provides an opportunity for NBVC to be prepared for real world threats and escalation of security measures. FPCON Charlie necessitates to close gates on our installations. Tenants and residents of both Port Hueneme and Point Mugu may encounter traffic delays, particularly at the gates, if the installation escalates to FPCON Charlie during this week. While we will plan to mitigate traffic issues, personnel should plan on significant delays when accessing each installation due to the increase in Force Protection measures. We recommend that personnel minimize transiting through the gates during the middle of the day to minimize gate traffic, if possible.
