Congratulations to Bennie Malone, our June Employee of the Month!

Bennie works as a general laborer with the Lafayette County Road Department, serving on the right-of-way crew that helps keep trees, limbs, and brush away from county roads. It is one of the many behind-the-scenes jobs that helps the department keep roads maintained for residents across the county.

Road Manager Payton Conner said Bennie’s job title could never fully capture all the ways he supports the department.

“When his crew gets caught up or finished for the day, Bennie is always looking for something to stay busy,” Conner said. “He is one of the hardest working guys we have here, and I wish I had a bunch more just like him.”
