How did ELLAS by ARTish come to be? Once upon a time my trio danced danced danced starting at age 3, their studio’s competition team mascot was an elephant for Good Luck. For EVERY gift giving occasion~ birthdays, Christmas, recital, competitions paired up dancers (Big Sis/ Little Sis/ Little Brother) exchanged a present~ inevitably elephant themed. We watched as 2 ‘sisters’ simultaneously opened their bags and discovered they purchased the exact same big blue eyed stuffed elephant. At that moment I had the thought ~ there needs to be more original elephants in the world, a few weeks later on the floor of my art studio was a sweater… my brain saw the long sleeve as a trunk! I grabbed the nearest scissors, needle and thread and brought what I could see in my mind to life! 💓🐘💓

They say “time flies when U r having FUN” … seems as though I have had SEW much FUN creating ellas I lost at least 2 years! Investigative reporting has first ellas literally taking the stage in March of 2011! Merci for ALL of the cheers throughout the years!!!
