Last portion of the recording room project was the door and trim. I filled the gaps around the door with insulation before I ran the layers of mass loaded vinyl, 5/8" drywall, sound absorbing green glue, and the final layer of 5/8" drywall. All layers were cut to the inside of the door jambs completely covering the door's rough opening. I custom made the jamb extensions to go over the existing jambs and cover the layers of soundproofing. From there it was just a matter of installing the door casing!
I also added a layer of 1/2" sound absorbing material over the subfloor, again using the sound absorbing green glue between the layers.
After installing the baseboards, final painting, and installing the door hardware, my portion of this project is complete!
Thanks for following along, and I hope you all enjoy this beautiful weekend!!

Tile floor is complete! The client chose a herringbone design, and it looks great!
After prepping the floor, I laid as many full tile that I could. With the full tile set, I was able to accurately cut all the perimeter tile and thinset them down. Then it was just a matter of cleaning everything and grouting!
Next up I'll finish fixing the walls and get to painting! Have a great weekend everyone!!
