¡Clases de inglés en Lighthouse!

Estamos aceptando formularios de interés para nuestra clase introductoria de inglés. Esta clase está diseñada para adultos que quieren aprender y practicar inglés básico para la vida diaria, la escuela, el trabajo y la comunidad.

Las solicitudes para la primera sesión serán revisadas antes del 7 de julio. Después de revisar las solicitudes, los estudiantes seleccionados recibirán los próximos pasos, incluyendo información de inscripción, opciones de pago y/o información para tomar una evaluación de nivel si es necesario.

Completar el formulario de interés no garantiza un espacio en la clase. El cupo es limitado, y los estudiantes serán contactados después del 7 de julio con información sobre los espacios disponibles.

English classes are coming to Lighthouse!

We are now accepting interest forms for our introductory English class. This class is designed for adults who want to learn and practice basic English for everyday life, school, work, and community.

Applications for the first session will be reviewed by July 7. After applications are reviewed, selected students will receive next steps, including registration information, payment options, and/or placement test information if needed.

Completing the interest form does not guarantee a spot in the class. Space is limited, and students will be contacted after July 7 with information about available class openings.

Volunteers Needed for English Classes!

We are looking for volunteers to help with our upcoming English classes for adults beginning Tuesday evening, July 21 at Lighthouse Community Center.

There are two ways to help:

Dinner/Snack Helpers
Help set up, serve, and clean up the light dinner or snack for students.
You do not need to be bilingual for this role.

Bilingual / General Helpers
Help welcome students, assist with materials, and support the class. Bilingual volunteers may help interpret English/Spanish as needed.

Please don’t feel intimidated — volunteers are not expected to teach the class. The instructor will lead the lesson. Interpreters will simply help clarify instructions or support conversations when needed. You do not have to be an expert!

Volunteers must be 16 years or older, and you can sign up for the dates that work best for you. You do not need to volunteer every Tuesday.

It was such a joy to see so many families, students, and community members enjoying time together at the Lighthouse.

A special thank you to our amazing volunteers who helped make the event run smoothly. We couldn’t have done it without you!

This event was our way of saying thank you to our community and taking time to hear from you about what you’d like to see offered at the Lighthouse in the future.
