You likely won’t find that car parked in front of this building anymore on this .

This building used to house Jacqueline Shop, a high-label women’s fashion store. Staying true to its roots, it now houses The Prom Shoppe and Bella-gia Boutique, selling beautiful prom and homecoming dresses and trendy contemporary women’s clothing.

You can even catch girls dancing in holiday gowns in the windows during Oswego’s annual Christmas Walk.

Can you guess where this building is? If you guessed on the northwest corner of Main and Washington Streets — you’d be correct! In 1916 this building housed Shultz Bros & Co. Groceries. 105 years later in 2021, this building houses The Marmalade Tree and Main Street Barber.

Do you recognize this small dirt road?

Believe it or not, it’s U.S. Route 34 back in 1912. Now four lanes wide and full of stores and restaurants, U.S. Route 34 is a true testament to how much can change in a century. Support Oswego’s local businesses through Oswego Area Chamber of Commerce and participate in their Fraidy Cat 5k, Ghost Run 8k, and Meow Mile on October 24th.
