So for those Apple users among us: I discovered something cool...if you use more than one monitor, but only need that second one periodically, you can get it out of the flow. Simply: >System prefs>Displays>Arrangement. You can exclude a monitor simply by dragging it below the one you want to continue to use. Your cursor won't go to the one below. Turn that one off and don't worry about losing your cursor over there. Nice!

Let's talk some more about security. Daily, the news is full of a wide array of security challenges, hacks, phishing, etc. The question for individuals users is how to protect ourselves from the ever-changing threat environment. The key is "vigilance". Unfortunately we can never let our guard down. A club member contacted the help desk recently suspecting an email alert she "received" from Apple. It looked quite official but was, in fact, an effort to get her to "log in" tusiner he apple ID thereby giving the bad guys her apple crredentials. NEVER respond to something like that. If you think something may truly be wrong, independent of the message asking for your credentials, go to the concerned site and investigate. If it looks like it came from your credit card company - call that company using the number on the back of your credit card NOT the number in the "alert".

(Enough for now. Got errands:)
