I’m a big believer in what I call Hidden Wins.

These are the takeaways from an experience that aren’t always apparent from the outside. The internal wins. The lessons. The realizations that don’t show up on a results sheet.

Sometimes hidden wins look like immediate failure.

But they become the foundation for future success.

At Gulf Coast, the win was obvious.

At Chattanooga, from the outside, it may look like a failure. But to me, it is far from that.

I put myself in a high stress environment and got to see how I responded. Not just physically, but emotionally and mentally.
And honestly, I saw parts of my older self come out. Parts I thought I had moved beyond.

That is hard to admit.

I haven’t run that badly in seven years. But sometimes the worst performances give you the clearest mirror.

I am not a horse in a stable. I’m not a machine where you simply plug in training and expect the same output every time.

Performance is complex. It is psychology. It is emotion. It is stress. It is resilience. It is family. It is the soul.

This weekend brought realizations that I believe will make me better in the future.

That is a Hidden Win.

And sometimes the biggest wins are the ones nobody else can see. Look closely and see if you have some Hidden Wins in you’re life
