Rainy day today, but the babies were allowed to play together. Happy babies, jumping, running, kicking.

I knew that Aurora was heavier than Luna at birth just from carrying them both. She's also a bit taller. I was able to get a couple of pics of them side by side.
Luna is the lighter colored one. Also, the smaller one! 🤷🏼‍♀️
Sage is smaller than Rosie, so it makes sense.

And it's another heifer. Mr. Tauri sure loves to give us the girls. 1 bull out of 9, so far. One more (possibly 2) due any time...let's see what happens. Good job, Rosie!

RBR Luna Hawthorn

First baby of the year! Sage gave us a little heifer. Mom & baby are doing great. Sage didn't like her birthing area options so she did go thru the fence. Not too far, though. Everything was cleaned up and they were resting when I discovered them. 🥰

As we sit here waiting on the 2026 calves to arrive, let's wish the baby daddy a Happy 6th Birthday. Foxglove Zeta Tauri was our first Dexter calf to be born at RBR. Since then, he has sired 6 little heifers and 1 bull. He has 4 babies due this year. Expecting 1 to be a bull, but we shall see...anytime now.
