Having just attended the WIND Symposium, it became clear that those who are perceived as 'a victim's advocate ' are subject to the whims of the main carriers. The point was made to me throughout the conference that the carriers viewed those that stood for the Insured as opponents. This was an extremely unfair characterization and it occurred to me that perhaps we needed to look at the big picture. The following is my observations of a very small fish in a world where smaller companies are usually forced out of business through one method or another. The only way to combat these types of battles is to speak out.
