Stories written thousands of years ago are still changing lives today.
Romans 15:4 reminds us that God preserved His Word to teach usβand He is still using it to draw people to Himself.
In places where following Jesus comes with significant risk, people are gathering to hear Bible stories, discuss them together and discover who God is.
These stories change lives!

One day, Nupi* invited several people to his home for coffee.
They came from different religious backgrounds. Some believed very differently than he did.
Before anyone spoke, Nupi made them a simple promise:
βI would only be telling them stories.β
That promise mattered.
Where Nupi lives, openly following Jesus can come with significant opposition. Some people have even been killed for proclaiming Him as Lord.
So instead of beginning with arguments, Nupi invited people to listen.
STORIES WRITTEN LONG AGO STILL BRING HOPE TODAY
Romans 15:4 says:
βSuch things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God's promises to be fulfilled.β
That day, Nupi shared the story of Noah and the Flood.
Around cups of coffee, the group listened together. Then they discussed what the story revealed about God and about themselves.
When the conversation ended, Nupi invited everyone back the following week to hear another Bible story.
They agreed.
And they have continued meeting ever since.
ONE GATHERING BECAME MANY MORE
Not long before that first gathering, Nupi had partnered with StoryRunners and local Cru leaders to help produce oral Bible stories in his own language.
He worked carefully to ensure the stories were biblically faithful and easy for others to understand and retell.
What began in one home did not stay there.
Nupi started two additional story groups in other homes, creating new opportunities for people to hear and discuss God's Word together.
Those conversations kept growing and gatherings kept meeting.
And because of all this, 12 people have chosen to follow Jesus!
HOPE GROWS WHEN GOD'S WORD IS SHARED
Nupi also has a vision to plant a church in his home village, where there are currently no Christians.
What began around a pot of coffee is now helping bring the gospel to people who may have never heard it before.
And the work is not finished.
BECAUSE YOU ARE PART OF THIS STORY
Your prayers and support help equip people like Nupi with God's Word in forms they can understand, internalize and share with others.
Would you pray for believers who are sharing Bible stories in places where following Jesus can come with significant risk?
Would you pray for the people gathering each week to hear and discuss these stories?
And would you pray for new churches to grow in communities that are still waiting to hear the good news of Jesus?
God used those stories to open conversations, build relationships and point people to Jesus.
And He is still doing the same today.
