Person Focused Autism

Every kid deserves a friend. Every kid. Connection and attachment mitigates anxiety and keeps us grounded. Kids with autism are exactly the same in this regard. Helping our kids make friends is more important than pretty much almost anything. Connection over behaviors or meltdowns. There is no higher need than connection even if it feels like its useless or completely unwanted. Sometimes we need to experience something before we knew how much we needed it.
