There are a lot of great companies in the note business: Funders, Servicing Companies, Software Providers, Due Diligence Resources, Educational Events, you name it. Many of these companies should be on your radar to help supersize your note plan in 2021.

Here's a quick video from my favorite Residential Mortgage Loan Originator (RMLO), Russ ODonnell. The Dodd-Frank Act requires that an owner occupant getting a mortgage must be evaluated by an RMLO, even when a seller is offering financing. This is a good thing for everyone. The seller, the buyer, and the lender all need to know that the buyer can afford the house and will be able to make the payments comfortably and consistently. Russ does a great job of working with borrowers to get all their information, evaluating it for Dodd-Frank compliance and more, so the lender knows the degree of credit risk involved in the loan. Facebook changed its ad policies to avoid tripping discrimination claims, which means its harder to target the specific audience you want when you advertise.
