I look forward to visiting with old and new friends in industry. Hope many can join us.
It's All In The Details!
In the security world, Operators MUST possess a high level of attention to detail. I've found this trait generally bleeds over into our personal lives as well.
While detailing my own company car, I remembered WAY back in my DPS LEO days when Recruiters would visit potential candidates homes for an "on site" interview. We would walk up the driveway and note if their POV was clean and sneakily peak inside to see if trash was left on floorboard.
You get a good feel for someone, looking at their own property and cleaniness that's for sure.
And yes, old habits die-hard or don't die at all.
So go clean those vehicles and straighten those pictures on the wall at your house. Lol...

With the Miami Superbowl just around the corner, OPStructure is all set up to support clients with many Superbowls and NFL games under our belt.
As a practitioner, if this is your first time supporting the "Big Game" remember these nuggets of information.
1. SB is not like normal NFL game support in your home city.
2. Prepare your clients for extended external perimeter i.e. 1/2 mile from stadium.
3. If driving, purchase LOT passes with accompanying ticket or plan to walk long long distances.
4. There are NO close stadium client drop points within extended perimeter. i.e.1/4 to 1/2 mile minimum
5. Advance street entrances same morning as game, rally point entrances change daily up to 3 hours before game.
6. No LOT pass or stadium ticket, driver/EP WILL need game day predetermined client rally point, or you will not see your' client until hours after the game. Yikes!
7. "Nose bleed ticket" will NOT get you close to your client.
8. Have same seating ticket as client or predetermine rally point within stadium upon game exit.
9. Most clients enter via Tailgate concert entrance (requires Tailgate ticket and Game ticket) $$$$$
10. SECURITY SUPPORT PASSES DO NOT EXIST, no game ticket, no entry. NO weapons, radio frequencies allowed!
Bonus- Network with other onsite EP teams, good operators will help you with valuable information.
Of course there is a ton of pertinent information, but here are our top 10. Good Luck!

New podcast episode out today! BRAZIL!
In a country with 209 million people, and one of the largest land masses on the planet, there is ample opportunity for travel and adventure, but not without some very real security considerations to prepare for.
My guest Ricardo is a former special forces officer in the Peruvian Navy, and is an experienced Executive Protection operator working throughout South America. Ricardo and I supported the same high profile client during the 2016 Rio Olympics, and we traveled extensively around the Pantanal in pursuit of jaguars, as well as around the Amazon and beyond to help their client experience the best of Brazil.
We talk about everything from armored vehicles to Uber, as well as logistics and perspective on secure travel operations in Brazil from Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo as well as throughout the Amazon basin. This is a must-listen for anyone thinking about a trip to Brazil. While it's one of the most gorgeous countries on the planet, there are very real security challenges that need to be front and center for those thinking about traveling to this incredible place.
