“I’m Gail the owner of the studio, I can teach you to paint, you can make your own clay pots or even create your own music to dance to.” Gail said as he took hold of Rings hand. She pulled back and moved away from him.
“I see, don't worry your among friends hear, were would you like to start Ring?” Gail asked, Ring didn’t answer him. Gail nodded ‘Ok we will start with finger painting “ Tea will show you how to use the active finger paints. Gail pulled Ring over to Tea were she helped Ring put on the smock to begin painting.
“Ring the finger paints will transform into what ever shape you want,” said Tea as she placed Rings hand over the canvas, with each presser point the canvas will transform to the shape you make with just the movement of your finger or some have even picked up the sheet and molded it into a Ball full of color” Tea said and laughs as she showed Ring how to finger paint on the ever moving canvas.
Ring was very quite at the studio, each time she came not a word was said to any of the helpers, Gail thought she was holding back her Joy to show she was stronger then she looked. “You can see again,” he asked her happy
“Yes the blindness was only for a short time until the swelling around the eyes went
down. I wanted to thank you because you didn’t turn me a way because of my bitterness, before I came here five other art studios turned me away because I wound talk to any of them.
“Yes I thought you might be shy, that way I had Tea show you around.” Gail said
“That too, but as I was starting to get my footing again and relaxing my vision came back, I saw you helping all the kids and just wanted to thank you for showing a bitter kid can see beauty in a world so dark.
A Letter
by Catherine Richardson
Three Fox’s were writing letters to their friends, one thought it was time for them to see if their grandmother is up for a visit. They wrote her a nice long letter asking if she would like some company and have Tea and sweet cakes. In the evening they mailed off their letters, a few days later they received a letter from their grandmother telling them to come for tea.
The Three baked sweet cakes, cookies, brownies, and every sweet they could think of to make the tea fun and enjoyable for their grandmother. They packed up the basket and headed into the woods, as they walked down a long path they came across a rabbit. The rabbit was looking sad and when he saw the Fox’s he saw the bag full of sweets .
“Hello their, i’m lost but very hungry as well, do you have some food to spare in your bag? asked the rabbit. The Fox’s nodded yes and handed him a small cake, he thank them and he hopped away nibbling on the sweet cake.
The Fox’s had plenty of food with them so they were happy to share, on their way down the path they ran into a family of Duck on their way to the Pond, The mommy duck asked if they had to some bread for them to eat. Again the Fox’s were happy to share with them. All the way up to their grandmothers house they share their cakes and sweets with the little creatures of the woods.
As they came up to the door, they saw inside the bag they have given all the food away, the door open and they greeted their grandmother with a big hug and then with a sad face said
“We had a hole big tea plan for you to enjoy, we baked cakes and sweets too, but are little friends were hungry so we shared and forgot to save a few sweets for the tea.”
Their grandmother just smiled and opened the door wider for them to come in, they saw a warm fire Burning in the hearth and her table set with a pot of tea and one three layer cake.
“That’s ok my dears, we don't need a lot of cake and sweets to enjoy ourselves is the company that make the visit enjoyable.
Their grandmother hugged them again and they all sat down at the table warming themselves by the fire and exchanging stories from long ago.
