KinderEye held its second Crumbl Cookie Fundraiser, and with the incredible help of our amazing member Lizbeth, our volunteers, and E-Board (shoutout to Adithi!)—we raised $585 for the children of the Caribbean and 🇮🇳India🇮🇳! 💜🤓

That’s 83 kids gifted with the power of sight—83 lives forever changed! 👓✨

KinderEye, a global initiative for vision equity, has launched in India! 🎉 On December 24, 2024, we partnered with Rajan Eye Care Hospital (RECH) to provide eyeglasses to 20 children in Tamil Nadu, helping them see clearly and thrive in school. 🇮🇳👓📚

A huge thanks to Prof. Dr. Mohan Rajan, Dr. Sujatha Mohan, and our amazing partners for making this possible. Together, we’re changing lives and creating brighter futures! 💙

On Monday, September 30th, KinderEye hosted a delicious Crumbl Cookie fundraiser, and we’re thrilled to announce we raised $255! 🍪✨ This wouldn’t have been possible without the help of our newest volunteer, Lizbeth, who worked hard behind the scenes to pull together all the supplies we needed. For those who don’t know, KinderEye is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free eye testing and prescription eyeglasses to children in underserved, rural villages in the Caribbean and India. Many children come from families unable to afford eye care, leading to months or even years of untreated vision problems. By offering school-administered eye tests in primary schools, we ensure that every child has an equal opportunity to thrive in their learning environment. 🇬🇾🇩🇲🇮🇳

Founded by Mayah Singh, a Guyanese-American junior at NYU, KinderEye aims to give back to her ancestral country and address the economic and health disparities her relatives have faced.

Every dollar raised from our fundraiser will go toward providing new eyeglasses for children in the Caribbean and India. Clear vision isn’t just about seeing better—it’s about being better in school! 👓📚 With glasses, kids can improve their grades, participate more confidently in class, attend school regularly, and feel empowered to reach their full potential. Your support makes a real difference, giving these kids the tools they need for brighter futures!
