I have a bachelor in Mathematics. When I was studying for it at the University, I was also doing a minor in Computer Sciences. In that curriculum, there was two branches that you could take course on in computer sciences, one concentrated on algortithms and one more related to how computer works.

I obvioulsy only took those in the algorithms branche during my bachelor. Those were the courses where I my knowledge in mathematics really helped me, from the logic use to code dijkstra (first algo we learned I think) to the math behind computer vision and coding simulation based on statistics !

I'm always suprised when I meet porgrammers who are not good in math, as they go so well together in my mind! I guess I definitly went into the right field by choosing a career in machine learning, as it's definitly the one where I can use both my math and programming knowledge!
