Hi, this is Rachel Wilkerson. My family ran Wilkerson Farm for 15 years. What happened to us shouldn’t happen to anyone. This local election matters more than ever.
We had a valid contract and were following every rule. Then, the property owner pushed for a zoning change, and despite overwhelming public opposition, the Orem City Council voted 4–3 to approve it. That vote gave the property owner an opening to walk away from our agreement overnight — leaving us heartbroken, blindsided, and with nothing.
The City Council member who supported it now hide behind “private property rights.” But this wasn’t about private property rights — it was about public accountability. When hundreds of residents show up, email, and speak out over multiple meetings, real leaders listen. These four didn’t. They ignored the community they were elected to represent.
When they erased Wilkerson Farm, they didn’t just destroy our dream — they took away a tradition that belonged to every Orem family. It wasn’t just a vote — it was a message that the voices of everyday people no longer matter in Orem.
We weren’t asking for special treatment — just fairness. Instead, we were left behind by leaders who didn’t want to hear our side of the story.
It was our farm and our dream this time, but it could very easily be something closer to you in the future. That’s why I’m voting for Dave Young For Orem City Mayor , LaNae Millett for Orem City Council , David Spencer for Orem City Council , and Crystal Muhlestein for Orem — leaders who take time to meet, to listen, and to do what’s right. They believe in respecting residents, not rewarding developers who simply want to make a quick profit.
We can build a city that values families over developers and community over politics. It starts with your vote. Find out how to vote and return your ballot here: https://vote.utahcounty.gov/voter-information -to-vote

Quinn Mecham says he didn't work for Hillary Clinton or write her speeches.
But according to his own resume on the BYU website, he did:

Who is Stronger Together
Stronger Together is an Orem political group Led by Cissy Rasmussen—a so-called “Republican” who not only voted for Kamala Harris but she also started and manages the group “Utah Understands The Assignment” of 10k Democrats in Utah who campaigned for Kamala Harris. She also has publicly stated her support of the Black Lives Matter movement “re-imagining the police”, and has publicly stated her goal is to turn Utah Blue. Stronger Together and its far-left supporters are working to transform Orem and Utah into something unrecognizable.
Behind their smiling slogans and glossy mailers is a machine fueled in part by dark money, out-of-state political action committees, developers, and liberal activists who do not share our values and want to “Turn Utah Blue”. Source: State Disclosures, Daily Herald, other documents.
Orem families deserve to know the truth about Stronger Together, their Political Action Committee called Stronger Orem, and their 501c4 they use to hide donations.

While the image below is generated by AI, these quotes by STRONGER TOGETHER Founder Cissy Rasmussen are 100% REAL:
"I absolutely would have voted for Joe Biden."
"I was super excited to hear that Kamala Harris was running for President!"
"Let's swing our own state blue"
-Cissy Rasmussen
Stronger Together might have rebanded as Stronger Orem or work through affiliates like "Governing Group PAC" now, but they're still the same group trying to flip Utah into a blue state through Democrat dark money, they are a TROJAN HORSE.

We shouldn’t be repeating the mistakes of the past.
Former Councilwoman Karen McCandless has a record of reckless financial decisions.
She got Orem into a terrible deal with UTOPIA, a 20-year mistake that’s still draining $2.5 million every year from taxpayers.
She supported a seven-story high-density project that went bankrupt and sat empty for years. Then she pushed for a 50% property tax increase.
If that’s her record on the City Council, imagine the financial damage she could do as mayor.
Orem can’t afford Karen McCandless!
