Our friend and colleague Professor Dave Manning suddenly passed away on July 4th from heart complications. He taught drafting at UVU for 28 years. He was instrumental in supporting the creation of an architecture degree program recently and gave much needed wisdom and advice. He was such a creative genius in so many areas. Displayed with this post are a few drawings he produced in the last year. He will be sorely missed.

Our department hosted the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art for a workshop this weekend. Participants used classic proportions, geometry, and measurements to draw out the Greek Doric Order. Big news for our department today. The UVU Board of Trustees has approved a professional Bachelor of Architecture degree. The degree proposal is now under review by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. Please see the link below for the press release.
UVU trustees approve master degrees in financial planning, family therapy, physician assistance Utah Valley University plans to add a handful of new programs following approval from the UVU Board of Trustees Thursday afternoon.
