My Father wasn’t perfect, but pretty darn close! He’s a Hero to me in many ways!

Some people act differently depending on who is around. My father wasn’t this way. He was authentic, and honest about who he was.

I watched as he was kind to everyone! He freely gave of his time, and sometimes meager income, to help others, without being asked. He saw a need and tried to fulfill it the best he could.

He had high morals/values and character, and taught us through his actions. He also allowed us freedom of choice, even if it meant he might take on some of the fallout because of our choices. I’m grateful for this. We learned about free agency and how it could bring about good or poor consequences.

He was a hard worker and taught his children how to work hard AND efficiently.

He was always open to us coming to him for help. I don’t remember him ever saying he didn’t have time or brushing us off. I knew I could always count on my Daddy!
