Full Send Adventures

The Subway at Zion is one of the most iconic spots in the national park. With its increase in popularity, a permit system had to be implemented to keep the backcountry wild. I highly recommend visiting it in the off season to be able to see it without many other visitors. This trip was over thanksgiving weekend, and it was freezing. We had brought wetsuits and had to break through a layer of ice to get to the top

Medicine in the backcountry is much different than in an urban setting. With my experience as an EMT for 2.5 years, this NOLS course was an eye opener. If you like to adventure a lot, I highly recommend taking a WFA/WFR course to gain the knowledge of how to provide life support in the wild.
