Happy 2022! I’m back after a quick holiday break, so I thought this would be a good opportunity to introduce myself to those of you who don’t know me. I’m the wife of the hot guy in the picture, Johnny. We’ve known each other since childhood and have been together nearly 20 years. I’m also mama to those sweet baby girls. Lucy is almost as tall as me, and Olive is my little spitfire twin. I’m a lifelong Oregonian, UofO grad, former athlete (looooong agoooo), and a proud Christian woman. I’ve been a hairstylist for over 16 years. It’s a career I cherish and will try to do on a part time basis forever, so long as my body allows! My true love is for design and all things aesthetically pleasing (hence the cosmetology life). I’m obsessed with home decor, design and renovation. My husband and I have just completed our 4th major remodel/build and have become seasoned pros. Somehow along the way, my love for design and creating spilled over into apparel and here we are…Rags+Roots Design 🤗 Let me tell you, while I had no real clear vision or expectations when I started R+R, this journey has been such a blessing and I’m loving every minute of it. Eventually, I’d like to pull in my hubby’s incredible craftsmanship to incorporate and offer custom pieces for the home, so stay tuned! Meanwhile, I’m going to continue filling your custom apparel needs and start working really hard to get my website up and running so I can streamline the business and offer you even more! I just want to thank you all so much for supporting me! When I launched Rags+Roots a few months ago I had no expectations and no idea where it would go. I have been absolutely blown away! It’s been so fun designing and creating for you and you’ve kept me beyond busy! The hubby wasn’t quite sure what to think as I worked late into the night seven days a week for a while. BUT!! He and I are both looking forward to some fun new offerings in the months to come. For now, I am taking a short break to enjoy the holidays and a quick vacay with my family, but I’ll be back refreshed and ready to go on January 5th.
