Day 1 is officially in the books!

Today, we welcomed a great group of enthusiasts at our annual Concours De Nice Gala & Luncheon at the Segerstrom Shelby Event Center in Irvine, CA.

We are very thankful for our 2026 Grand Marshall, Billy Johnnson. Guests had the chance to hear from Billy and ask questions. It truly was an amazing honor to welcome Billy and celebrate his amazing accomplishments.

Along with Billy, we welcomed many original Shelby employees, such as Allen Grant, Bernie Kretzschmar, Bruce Junor, along with a great group of Shelby employees! It’s always an amazing opportunity for our members and guests to have the chance to talk to these individuals and ask all the questions they’ve had for years!

While today was another phenomenal event, we’re looking forward to seeing everyone at our Concours De Nice car show tomorrow morning at the Westin Hotel Park, in Costa Mesa. We’re expecting a great group of Cobras, Shelbys, Ford GTs, and more! We hope you can join us! For more information, visit our website.

First, coming up on March 14th is the Lyon Air Museum's annual Shelby Tribute. There are some special considerations you need to be aware of concerning this event. All will be revealed on Wednesday. An email update will follow with details about this Tribute as details are being finalized.

Special Announcement. - Happy Birthday to our good friend Bruce Junor. Bruce celebrated his 94th birthday on February 26th! May you celebrate many more and we look forward to hosting you again and hearing more fabulous Shelby stories from the glory years.

Tonight the Cobra Owners of America Orange County celebrated the 52nd Anniversary of the club at the Shelby Legendary Cars great facility in Irvine! The close to 100 members and guests in attendance were treated to a tasty Richard Jones Bar-B-Que Dinner with Anniversary Cake. We had a terrific presentation by Guest Speaker, J Bittle of JBA Race Shop. J also brought his Historic Trans Am Mustang and talked about his history of racing and preparing/ upgrading cars. Additionally, the club bestowed its Annual Member of the Year Award to Rebecca Hultquist for her tireless dedication as our club Secretary and major event organizer.
