This morning at 5:15 AM, Manhattan Beach Motorcycle Officer Chad Swanson was involved in a fatal, on duty traffic collision, on the 405 Freeway.

He is survived by his wife and three sons (4, 2, and 10 months old).

On behalf of Chief El-Farra and the Garden Grove Police Department, our thoughts and prayers go out to Officer Swanson’s family and friends, the community he served, as well as our brothers and sisters at Manhattan Beach Police Department.
